ASK presents the Functional Art Show and Gifting Show, two concurrent exhibitions on view from November 1 through November 30, 2025, celebrating the artistry of design, craftsmanship, and creative functionality. Together, these shows highlight the work of regional and national artists who merge art and everyday life through beauty, utility, and imagination.

In the Spotlight Gallery, the Functional Art Show features an invitational collection of furniture, objects, clothing, and wall art created by artists and designers including Debra Abrams Jewelry, Alpana Bawa, Aris, Art by Any Means, Ayala Bar, Joshua Vogel/ Kat Howard / BCMT Gallery, Trecy Bleich, Chris Bowman, Julie Bowman, Seth David Branitz, Handmade and More, Christophe Poly, Crono Design, Anne MacDonald, Carol MacDonald, Sean Nixon, Joseph Pine, Johnny Poux, Steven Sidrane, and Karen Wyks-Lindseyy.  Each artist contributes a unique vision of how art can enliven daily living through form, texture, and craftsmanship. The Functional Art Show will be exhibited from November 1 through November 30.

Complementing this exhibition in the Front Gallery, the Gifting Show will feature a curated selection of holiday items, including jewelry, small works, cards, scarves, clothing, pillows, and ceramic ornaments – available for purchase from November 1 through December 21, 2025. This annual ASK tradition invites visitors to celebrate the season by supporting local artists and discovering one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts.

An Opening Reception for both exhibitions will be held on Saturday, November 1, from 3 – 5 PM at the Arts Society of Kingston, 97 Broadway, Kingston, NY. Admission is free and open to the public.

ASK proudly presents TEXTILES, an art exhibition featuring selections by esteemed art historian and curator Bruce Weber. On view from November 1 through November 30, 2025, this show highlights contemporary fiber-based artworks, tapestries, and woven works that explore the intersection of textiles and abstraction in modern art.

Participating artists include Sharon Ascher, Deborah Bein, Ellen Jouret-Epstein, Melissa Forbes, Denise Giardullo, and Eileen Power – each bringing a distinctive approach to material, texture, and form.

The exhibition will be on view in ASK’s Member Gallery, located at 97 Broadway, Kingston, NY, with an Opening Reception on Saturday, November 1, from 3- 5 PM. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.askforarts.org
