The Great Room: ASK Theatre Space

ASK has a rich history in the Performing Arts. Our 99-seat flexible theatre space is ideal for theatre, dance, music, or any other performing art. With a “silent” duct system for HVAC, brand new lighting and sound equipment, and a flexible performance space, ASK can accommodate multiple productions, workshops, readings, presentations, and performances. Whether doing a staged reading, live-streaming a poetry reading, producing a play, holding a dance workshop, doing a recital, or any other performing arts activity, ASK ‘s Great Room can be the space where you develop and realize your vision.

Membership with Performing Arts focus

ASK Members enjoy a reduced rehearsal rate during gallery hours, reduced rates for rental, options for “door splits”, and liability insurance coverage for performances. At ASK, our members drive the programming and decision-making. The Performing Arts Committee evaluates applications and curates the performing arts opportunities at ASK.

Use the form below to apply for a Performing Arts event at ASK

Use this form to submit work for an ASK performance slot. Note all submissions must be approved by ASK’s Performing Arts Committee. Choose any of the available options below:

ASK Presents – a week-long residency culminating in three performances over a weekend with an artist talkback. No cost to apply or participate. Open to ASK Members and non-members. 60/40 split of box office favoring the artist.

ASK Members Spotlight Production – An opportunity for our Members to present a full-length production over a weekend. 80/20 box office split favoring the artist, minimum of $250 total to ASK. Tech provided.

ASK Members Co-Production – Single performance date, open to all types of performance. Artist chooses between renting the space at $75/hour and collecting 100% of box office or 80/20 split favoring the artist with a $200 minimum to ASK per performance day (4 hour slot).

Rental – Straight rental of ASK space at $75/hour for performance.
