Internationally acclaimed classical guitarist Stanley Alexandrowicz will present a recital devoted to Baroque, Romantic, Contemporary and Latin American Virtuoso Masterpieces for the classical guitar. Compositions by Italy’s Girolamo Frescobaldi, France’s Napoleon Coste, and Vienna’s Johann Dubez will be featured on the first half of the recital. The second half will be centered around showpieces by the Latin American guitar’s greatest composers—Hector Angulo (Cuba), and Manuel Ponce (Mexico), and compositions by two of North America’s greatest composers—NYU “Composer Emeritus” (and Kingston resident, the late) Brian Fennelly, and Maestro Robert W. Butts—composer and conductor of the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey!
This concert is being presented in conjunction with a workshop on Saturday, November 10. If you wish to attend the workshop, there is a discounted price with the purchase of a ticket to the performance.
