Frank R Johnston was inspired by the patterns of Nature, infused with vibrant colors, random design, yet carefully orchestrated in a subtle, elegant manner. Studied in Eastern concepts & Zen thought, he had a fascination with impermanence in his installations. Each decade brought experimentation with different media and form; evolving from dogwood branches & twigs, dyed feather and copper wire to simulated glass plastic and a minimalist design.
