Book Launch – The Family Plot by Linda McCauley Freeman

Linda McCauley Freeman is the author of the full-length poetry collection The Family Plot (Backroom Window Press, 2022) and has been widely published in international journals, including in a Chinese translation. She was nominated for a Pushcart Prize 2022. Recently she appeared in Delta Poetry Review, Poet  Magazine, Amsterdam Quarterly, and won Grand Prize in StoriArts’ Maya Angelou poetry contest. She has an MFA from Bennington College and is the former poet-in-residence of the Putnam Arts Council. Follow her on Facebook.

May Spotlight Show | Pat Travis-Rosenberg: Threads of Memory

Threads of Memory and the monotype prints in this ongoing series unexpectedly seem to be timely. With COVID, illness, war and death, families have had the unfortunate need to put closure to loved ones’ lives. Removing clothing and items from draws, closets, trunks and boxes opens up the lives of those who have passed with unanswered questions about the garments that were worn and kept. What were the personal reasons for keeping a table cloth, curtain, scarf or other items perhaps having a personal memory never shared.

Edges of Tenderness

"Edges of Tenderness" is a live performance that utilizes Shibari, or Japanese rope bondage, as its main technique. Masha and Margherita have been working together for over two years, integrating their personal journeys into their practice and performances.

Beginner Rope Workshop

Masha and Margherita will offer a rope workshop focused on some of the basic skills both technically and relationally. They believe Shibari is first and foremost a practice in connection, a deliberate conversation between vulnerabilities, and a possible place for growth.
