CALL FOR ARTISTS
REFRACTION: LIGHT, MEMORY, & TIME
Arts Society of Kingston’s YEAR END Members Exhibition
Submission deadline: 9/12/26, 11:59 PM
SHOW DATES: November 7 – December 20, 2026
Arts Society of Kingston invites ASK members to participate in our expansive year-end Members Exhibition, Refraction: Light, Memory, & Time, filling all three of ASK’s galleries for the November and December holiday season.
As the year draws to a close, we invite artists to explore the ways light, memory, and time intersect, bend, transform, and reveal. How does memory alter what we see? How does light change a place, an object, or a moment? What traces of the past remain—and what happens when we look at them through the lens of the present?
We welcome work that responds to the theme literally, metaphorically, or intuitively.
All Media Welcome
Members may submit up to five works in any of the following media:
- Painting
- Drawing & Works on Paper
- Sculpture
- Sketches
- Mixed Media
- Textiles & Fiber
- Ceramics
- Photography
- Other 2D or 3D media
This exhibition is an opportunity to bring together the extraordinary range of artists within the ASK community and create a dynamic, salon-style celebration of our membership.
A Holiday Exhibition with Art for Every Collector
We want this exhibition to be both a celebration of our artists and an opportunity for our community to purchase original art for the holidays.
Each participating artist is encouraged to include at least two works priced at $200 or less. These smaller and more accessible works will help create opportunities for holiday gift-giving while introducing new collectors to the work of ASK artists.
Artists may, of course, include additional works at any price point.
Who Can Participate?
Current ASK members in good standing are invited to participate.
This is a members-only exhibition designed to showcase the breadth, diversity, and creativity of the Arts Society of Kingston community.
Submission
Up to five works per artist. Work that has been submitted in the past will not be accepted.
Please submit work that is:
- Original and ready for exhibition
- Properly framed or prepared for installation
- Clearly labeled with artist name, title, medium, and price
- Available for sale, unless otherwise noted
