Call for Art: “Scenes from Life” – Submission Deadline: 11/15/2025 @ midnight

The Arts Society of Kingston (ASK) invites artists to submit work for Scenes from Life, an exhibition that celebrates the beauty, humor, complexity, and poignancy of everyday experience.

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly—capturing the moments, memories, and emotions that define our shared humanity. Whether drawn from the personal or the universal, the intimate or the public, the realistic or the abstract, Scenes from Life welcomes all perspectives and styles.

Accepted Media: All visual art forms, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, fiber, and ceramics.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Open to all artists.

  • Up to three works may be submitted. A fee of $10 per artwork.

  • All works must be original and ready for exhibition, framed with proper wire. If pedestal or other alternative display is required, please provide proper hardware or other display materials.

  • Drop Off Dates: Tuesday, 12/2: 5 – 8 PM or Wednesday 12/3: 1 – 4 PM
    Exhibition Dates: December 6 – December 28, 2025
    Pick up dates: Tuesday, 12/29: 5 – 8 PM or Wednesday, 12/30: 1 – 4 PM

The exhibition will be on display 12/6 – 12/28.

Intake Dates: Tuesday 12/2: 5 – 8 PM & Wednesday 12/3: 1 – 4 PM

DEADLINE: Saturday, 11/15 @ Midnight

Submission Guidelines

  • Artwork will be exhibited in Members Gallery.
  • Artist must be a current member of ASK.
  • Artists will submit 1 jpg/png/mp3/mov file per work.
  • Artists must have means to transport the work to/from ASK.
  • Artists receive 70% of sales during the run of the exhibition. ASK retains 30% of sales. All work must be for sale
  • All artworks will be exhibited as entered in form. This includes the Artist Name, Artwork, Title, Date, Medium, Dimensions, and Price. No changes and/or substitutions will be permitted. Please check your details carefully.
  • Label affixed on back with Name, Title of work, Price, Phone, Address, Email.
  • Provide 2nd Label on front with same info.
  • Each work must have proper wire.
  • All exhibitors must schedule 2 dates to gallery sit.
  • Artwork must have NOT been exhibited within the last calendar year at ASK.

*To prevent overcrowding, ASK may limit members to 1 work, if needed.
