“THE ANNUAL PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW”

Exhibition of Photography in the ASK Spotlight and Front Galleries

The Arts Society of Kingston invites photographic artists from the Hudson Valley to display the best of their recent work in their Spotlight and Front Galleries from November 2 – December 1, 2024. Photographers may submit up to two works taken within the last year.

All work must be ready to hang with wire (no sawtooth hangers). This invitation is open to members and non-members of ASK.

FEES: For members, the first piece is free, the second piece is $10. For non-members, the first piece is $10, 2 pieces are $15. For college students/vets, $5 fee for up to 2 pieces.

There will be an opening reception on November 2, 2024, from 3-5 pm. Exhibitors need to volunteer to sit at the galleries (attendance at the reception is not sitting the gallery). Exhibition days are November 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24 30 and December 1. You can sign up when delivering your artwork. Shifts are from 12 Noon – 2:30 pm and 2:30 pm – 5 pm. 

 

Drop-off dates:  

Tues 10/29 – Wed 10/30,  1-5 pm 

A gallery-sitting sign-up sheet will be available.  

Pick-up dates: 

Tues 12/3 – Wed 12/4,  1-5pm 

Please remove your work on pick-up days as announced. Artwork not picked up within 30 days of the last announced pick-up day will be considered abandoned and become the property of ASK.

  • All works must be wired and ready for hanging at the time of drop off. No saw tooth hanging.
  • All works must be original art only, no copies or reproductions.
  • All works must be for sale.
  • Members are allowed up to two (2) entries
  • While great care is taken in the handling of your artwork, we cannot assume any liability for damages that may occur during the process. ASK does not provide insurance. If desired, arrange for insurance of works of art at your own expense.
  • There can be no changes to Title, Price, Dimensions, Medium, or Work after submission.
  • There can be no submissions after the deadline.
  • ASK will coordinate the sale of artworks.*

*ASK retains 30% administrative fee from the purchase of each work sold during the duration of the exhibition or as a result of exhibiting at ASK. ASK reserves the right to not display a work of art if it is deemed discriminatory or harmful to our community.
