DESCRIPTION:The Space Between Seeing and Feeling \n\n\n\nKen Wenger \n\n\n\nThe Space Between Seeing and Feeling showcases the work of Ken Wenger\, whose artistic practice is driven by an intrinsic need to express the profound emotions that arise from close observation of the world. Working across a range of media\, with a particular emphasis on pastel\, Wenger reveals the beauty and emotional depth found within portraiture. \n\n\n\nHis process begins with a black-and-white photograph enlarged and printed on textured paper\, creating a foundation for richly layered pastel applications. Sometimes working delicately with his fingertips and other times using the full force of his hand\, Wenger transforms photographic images into deeply tactile works that blur the boundary between documentation and emotional interpretation. \n\n\n\nHis subjects range from intimate studies of flowers to dramatic nudes and emotionally charged figurative scenes. Across these varied themes\, Wenger is consistently drawn to moments of vulnerability and intensity. DESCRIPTION:Reclaimed Light\, Mended Worlds \n\n\n\nNatalya Khorover \n\n\n\nIn Reclaimed Light\, Mended Worlds\, Natalya Khorover transforms discarded materials—including single-use plastics\, vintage linens\, and urban debris—into installations and sculptural objects that reveal beauty within the overlooked. \n\n\n\nDrawing upon community-collected waste\, Khorover explores themes of healing\, repair\, and renewal. Her work reflects the poetic light filtering through city structures\, weathered surfaces\, and grime-streaked windows while celebrating the intuitive act of mending broken fragments into new forms. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition brings together four interconnected series: \n\n\n\n\nInner Work\, a meditation on personal and planetary healing.\n\n\n\nUrban Perspective\, celebrating the layered\, luminous chaos of the city.\n\n\n\nForever Ephemeral\, where bottles filled with shredded plastic waste become glowing relics of contemporary consumption.\n\n\n\nPhantom Blooms\, an imagined garden in which discarded plastics are transformed into strange seedlings and shimmering flowers.\n\n\n\n\nTogether\, these works invite viewers to reconsider what we throw away\, what we choose to preserve\, and how acts of transformation can turn waste into wonder. \n\n\n\nFor more than twenty years\, Khorover has reclaimed and repurposed discarded materials\, inspired by a thrifty upbringing in Leningrad\, USSR\, and New York City. She has created numerous site-specific installations\, including Arcadia Lost (ArtsWestchester)\, Hothouse\, and Speaking of Birds (Tilly Foster Farm Museum). \n\n\n\nA graduate of Pratt Institute with a BFA\, Khorover transitioned from careers in fashion and film to a full-time studio practice. Her work has been featured in Quilt National\, Quilts=Art=Quilts\, Surface Design Magazine\, Fiber Art Now\, and SAQA Journal. She is also an educator\, lecturer\, and founder of REPURPOSER COLLECTIVE\, a community for artists working with sustainable materials\, and host of the podcast SALVAGE\, which explores repurposed art practices. Her work reflects the poetic light filtering through city structures\, weathered surfaces\, and grime-streaked windows while celebrating the intuitive act of mending broken fragments into new forms. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition brings together four interconnected series: \n\n\n\n\nInner Work\, a meditation on personal and planetary healing.\n\n\n\nUrban Perspective\, celebrating the layered\, luminous chaos of the city.\n\n\n\nForever Ephemeral\, where bottles filled with shredded plastic waste become glowing relics of contemporary consumption.\n\n\n\nPhantom Blooms\, an imagined garden in which discarded plastics are transformed into strange seedlings and shimmering flowers.\n\n\n\n\nTogether\, these works invite viewers to reconsider what we throw away\, what we choose to preserve\, and how acts of transformation can turn waste into wonder. \n\n\n\nFor more than twenty years\, Khorover has reclaimed and repurposed discarded materials\, inspired by a thrifty upbringing in Leningrad\, USSR\, and New York City. Sometimes working delicately with his fingertips and other times using the full force of his hand\, Wenger transforms photographic images into deeply tactile works that blur the boundary between documentation and emotional interpretation. \n\n\n\nHis subjects range from intimate studies of flowers to dramatic nudes and emotionally charged figurative scenes. Sep. 5\, 3 to 5 PM \n\n\n\nThis solo exhibition by Elisa Pritzker brings together 2D\, 3D\, and installation worksshaped through acrylic paint on natural and varied materials\, with the imprint of aselfcreated iconography that affirms a universal ancestral identity where past andpresent converge. Each art piece gathers traces of ancient cultural impulses and carriesthem forward\, allowing inherited forces to appear in transformed states that speak to thecontinuity of human experience.The visual language that emerges is built from instinct\, study\, and a deep engagementwith symbolic forms that move across time. Layered surfaces and elemental structuresserve as portals through which primordial presence becomes perceptible as an activeinfluence shaping contemporary consciousness. In this way\, the works reveal howuniversal identity is continually informed by what precedes us.The exhibition proposes an understanding of the ancestral that extends beyond specifictraditions. Instead\, it evokes a shared human origin through images that function assites of return—places where ancient impulses and present awareness coexist. Formore than three decades\, she has directed the Pritzker Studio & Gallery.
