DESCRIPTION:Converging Realities\, Altered Perceptions \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMembers Gallery \n\n\n\nConverging Realities\, Altered Perceptions \n\n\n\nThis member exhibition explores surrealistic\, visionary\, and psychologically evocative artwork that blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination. Featuring works that engage with dream logic\, altered states\, symbolic imagery\, fragmented memory\, transformation\, illusion\, and the instability of perception\, the exhibition invites audiences into worlds that are at once familiar and strange. \n\n\n\nParticipating artists: Stuart Bigley\, Mary Lynne Bonforte\, Kerry Buchman\, Dave Channon\, James Dean Conklin\, Walter Fancourt\, Beth Feinstein\, Abbey Frank\, Patti Gibbons\, Robin Glassman\, Mary Anna Goetz\, Terry Haas\, Tom Hackett\, Paul James Hecker\, Kim Henry\, Barbara Johnston\, Maxine Kamin\, Virginia Kaufmann\, Pearl Lau\, Yvette Lewis\, Terry Murray\, Carol Pepper-Cooper\, Tracy Phillips\, Erik Richards\, Tonia Waterbury\, Karen Wyks-Lindsay. \n\n\n\nWhether poetic or disorienting\, humorous or haunting\, the artworks challenge conventional ways of seeing and encourage viewers to question what is real. Through diverse approaches and media\, participating artists offer imaginative portals into the subconscious and the uncanny.

SUMMARY:Spotlight Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Edward Bakst: Hidden Realities \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEdward Bakst: Hidden Realities \n\n\n\nIn his first solo exhibition at ASK\, internationally acclaimed artist\, Edward Bakst\, presents two interconnected bodies of photographic work that investigate what lies beyond ordinary perception. \n\n\n\nBakst’s Non-Linear Panoramas Series disrupts conventional photographic perspectives by employing a unique in-camera process that transforms a single viewpoint into simultaneous dimensions of time and space. Created entirely within an iPhone without digital stitching\, these images challenge gravity\, perspective\, and expectations\, revealing abstracted realities shaped by emotion\, memory\, and environmental change. \n\n\n\nHis Hidden Spaces Series delves into seemingly ordinary objects\, textures\, and scenes to uncover unexpected worlds concealed within them. Through close observation and digital exploration\, Bakst reveals imagined landscapes\, microscopic universes\, atmospheric forms\, and visual phenomena that emerge from the overlooked details of everyday life. \n\n\n\nTogether\, the series invite viewers to contemplate the hidden structures\, perceptions\, and possibilities that exist beneath the surface of the visible world. \n\n\n\nBakst’s work has been exhibited internationally in New York City\, Milan\, Barcelona\, Seoul\, Australia\, Qatar\, and beyond. A recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and a former Fulbright Specialist\, he has also led imagination workshops around the world and held leadership positions at major institutions including Pratt Institute\, Columbia University\, and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

SUMMARY:Bridget Beirne - Acting Coaching
DESCRIPTION:I’m Bridget Beirne\, and I’ve been a professional actor for over 25 years. I love what I do. Behind all that love is years of performances\, technique\, training\, and study. And I want to share that with you! \n\n\n\nI’m offering FREE\, one hour private acting coaching sessions at the Arts Society of Kingston on June 20th and 21st\, 2026. Sessions are one-on-one\, one hour long\, and scheduled on a first come\, first served basis. (For teens and adults\, ages 15+.) \n\n\n\nI’ve performed in NYC and around the country\, and am a member of Actors’ Equity Association. I have a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory\, and have helped both young people and professionals grow towards their goals. (You can read more about me here on my website!) \n\n\n\nPrivate acting coaching creates a space for focused\, individualized growth that isn’t always available to us in a classroom or rehearsal setting. I concentrate on text-based work\, which allows for exploration through material rather than exercises or “games” alone. SUMMARY:Teresa Smith: Open Source Form
DESCRIPTION:Open Source Forms / Dancing the Inner Landscape \n\n\n\n\nWith Teresa Smith \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMarch 13 & 17\, 2026\n\n\n\nApril 10 & 24\, 2026\n\n\n\nMay 8 & 22\, 2026\n\n\n\nJune 5 & 19\, 2026\n\n\n\n11Am – 1PM \n\n\n\n\nIn OSF classes we enter a creative process; letting go of outer layers of holding to find primal energy and ease. Guided by embodied imagery as a powerful tool for transformation we’ll learn to move with agility\, transparency and depth. Through alignment studies\, movement exploration and group improvisation we’ll cultivate a deep connection to our inner and outer environments. In this series we’ll explore three unique states of dancing; I move\, it moves me\, It moves! A remarkably effective way of learning\, the OSF approach can catalyze transformation in many kinds of practice\, in unique movement virtuosity\, and in daily life. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect:This is an improvisational movement class for all levels of movers\, and can be done with any amount of energy. Kinesthetic insight is approached in multi-directional\, structural and poetic ways. Music and silence is interwoven with (spoken) poetic imagery\, deep meditations and active\, focused improvisation.  \n\n\n\nTeresa Smith brings to her teaching a warm appreciation of each person’s essence and delights in awakening the creative spirit. She is a certified teacher of Open Source Forms™ and practiced the root form Skinner Releasing™ for three decades. Through her dance company ‘Earthbody’ she presents performance\, artwork and workshops emerging from an intimate conversation with the body\, psyche and natural environment. \n\n\n\nLearn more: www.earthbodyevents.com \n\n\n\nREGISTER: Earthbodybreath@gmail.com
