By zooming into the landscape until it dissolves into form\, color\, and light\, Edwards seeks moments where harmony and chaos\, beauty and the sublime coexist. \n\n\n\nO’Neil Edwards is an emerging abstract impressionist painter based in New York’s Hudson Valley. He earned his BFA from the School of Visual Arts\, studying with pioneering abstract painter Jack Whitten. After graduating in 2002\, Edwards began his career in graphic design with a small art publication before transitioning into product design. Over the past two decades he has led design initiatives and product design teams for major media and technology companies including The New Yorker\, Yahoo Finance\, and several startups. \n\n\n\nDuring the pandemic\, Edwards began refocusing his professional path toward creating artwork\, reconnecting deeply with his studio practice. He continues to pursue this work today. This exhibition marks his first. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEileen PowerThis body of work was born of grief. A few years ago\, my partner Steve passed away after a long battle with cancer. As a way of working through that grief\, I began creating artworks using his used drop cloths. The resulting pieces became a testament to our love—somehow\, he lives on within them. \n\n\n\nEileen Power creates sculptures and mixed-media works from everyday materials\, animating discarded objects in unexpected ways. Her work reflects a deep interest in transformation and renewal through artistic process. \n\n\n\nHer sculptures have been exhibited at the Phoenicia Festival of the Arts\, the 2025 Biennial Woodstock Byrdcliffe Sculpture Show\, Kaatsbaan Cultural Park\, the Kingston Design Showhouse\, and the exhibition Shelter\, curated by Melinda Stickney-Gibson for the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild. \n\n\n\nPower received the Robert Angeloch Printmaking Award from the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum in 2021 and the Nicholas Buhalis Award for Weaving the Woven in 2024. Her work is held in collections across the United States and Europe. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLynn MargilethLynn Margileth is an award-winning visual artist working across oil\, acrylic\, etching\, encaustic\, and mixed media. Her work has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions and public collections. \n\n\n\nMargileth’s landscapes are inspired by a deep connection to the spirit of the land. Through layered color and energetic brushwork\, her paintings guide the viewer through familiar Hudson Valley landscapes toward moments of meditative radiance that transcend reality. \n\n\n\nHer canvases explore both vast and intimate spaces—sky\, mountains\, water reflections\, and winding roads—inviting the viewer to soar\, wander\, and dream. She was recently selected for an artist residency at the Colerain Art Center in Pennsylvania.

DESCRIPTION:Two Seasons\n\n\n\nTed Dixon\n\n\n\n\nShowing in the Front Gallery \n\n\n\n\n\nOpening Reception April 4th @ 3pm\n\n\n\nExhibition April 4 – 26\, 2026\n\n\n\nASK Gallery Hours: Fri – Sun\, Noon – 5pm \n\n\n\n\n\nTed Dixon’s solo exhibition Two Seasons features abstract paintings inspired by the cyclical rhythms of shared human existence. \n\n\n\n“As with art\, the change in seasons provides opportunities for reflection\,” Dixon writes. “If we had no winter\, walking barefoot on a warm sandy beach would take us to a very different place.” \n\n\n\nBorn in New York City in 1953\, Dixon has lived in the Hudson Valley since 1992 and in Rosendale since 2009. He studied at Fordham University\, the Fashion Institute of Technology\, and the School of Visual Arts. After a 25-year career as a web designer\, Dixon began dedicating himself fully to his artistic practice in 2009. \n\n\n\nHis work has been exhibited at Montgomery Row Art Space (Rhinebeck)\, Woodstock Artists Association & Museum\, ADS Gallery (Newburgh)\, Arts Society of Kingston\, Gallery at the Rosendale Theatre\, and Albany Center Gallery. \n\n\n\nDixon is a Black painter working primarily in abstraction. His work explores perception and memory through layered visual compositions. “How do we learn to see what we cannot yet see?” he asks. “My paintings attempt to capture moments in time shaped by personal experience.”

By zooming into the landscape until it dissolves into form\, color\, and light\, Edwards seeks moments where harmony and chaos\, beauty and the sublime coexist. \n\n\n\nO’Neil Edwards is an emerging abstract impressionist painter based in New York’s Hudson Valley. He earned his BFA from the School of Visual Arts\, studying with pioneering abstract painter Jack Whitten. After graduating in 2002\, Edwards began his career in graphic design with a small art publication before transitioning into product design. Over the past two decades he has led design initiatives and product design teams for major media and technology companies including The New Yorker\, Yahoo Finance\, and several startups. \n\n\n\nDuring the pandemic\, Edwards began refocusing his professional path toward creating artwork\, reconnecting deeply with his studio practice. He continues to pursue this work today. This exhibition marks his first. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEileen PowerThis body of work was born of grief. A few years ago\, my partner Steve passed away after a long battle with cancer. As a way of working through that grief\, I began creating artworks using his used drop cloths. The resulting pieces became a testament to our love—somehow\, he lives on within them. \n\n\n\nEileen Power creates sculptures and mixed-media works from everyday materials\, animating discarded objects in unexpected ways. Her work reflects a deep interest in transformation and renewal through artistic process. \n\n\n\nHer sculptures have been exhibited at the Phoenicia Festival of the Arts\, the 2025 Biennial Woodstock Byrdcliffe Sculpture Show\, Kaatsbaan Cultural Park\, the Kingston Design Showhouse\, and the exhibition Shelter\, curated by Melinda Stickney-Gibson for the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild. \n\n\n\nPower received the Robert Angeloch Printmaking Award from the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum in 2021 and the Nicholas Buhalis Award for Weaving the Woven in 2024. Her work is held in collections across the United States and Europe. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLynn MargilethLynn Margileth is an award-winning visual artist working across oil\, acrylic\, etching\, encaustic\, and mixed media. Her work has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions and public collections. \n\n\n\nMargileth’s landscapes are inspired by a deep connection to the spirit of the land. Through layered color and energetic brushwork\, her paintings guide the viewer through familiar Hudson Valley landscapes toward moments of meditative radiance that transcend reality. \n\n\n\nHer canvases explore both vast and intimate spaces—sky\, mountains\, water reflections\, and winding roads—inviting the viewer to soar\, wander\, and dream. She was recently selected for an artist residency at the Colerain Art Center in Pennsylvania.

He studied at Fordham University\, the Fashion Institute of Technology\, and the School of Visual Arts. In this series we’ll explore three unique states of dancing; I move\, it moves me\, It moves! By zooming into the landscape until it dissolves into form\, color\, and light\, Edwards seeks moments where harmony and chaos\, beauty and the sublime coexist. \n\n\n\nO’Neil Edwards is an emerging abstract impressionist painter based in New York’s Hudson Valley. He earned his BFA from the School of Visual Arts\, studying with pioneering abstract painter Jack Whitten. After graduating in 2002\, Edwards began his career in graphic design with a small art publication before transitioning into product design. Over the past two decades he has led design initiatives and product design teams for major media and technology companies including The New Yorker\, Yahoo Finance\, and several startups. \n\n\n\nDuring the pandemic\, Edwards began refocusing his professional path toward creating artwork\, reconnecting deeply with his studio practice. He continues to pursue this work today. This exhibition marks his first. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEileen PowerThis body of work was born of grief. He studied at Fordham University\, the Fashion Institute of Technology\, and the School of Visual Arts. After a 25-year career as a web designer\, Dixon began dedicating himself fully to his artistic practice in 2009. \n\n\n\nHis work has been exhibited at Montgomery Row Art Space (Rhinebeck)\, Woodstock Artists Association & Museum\, ADS Gallery (Newburgh)\, Arts Society of Kingston\, Gallery at the Rosendale Theatre\, and Albany Center Gallery. \n\n\n\nDixon is a Black painter working primarily in abstraction. His work explores perception and memory through layered visual compositions. “How do we learn to see what we cannot yet see?” he asks. “My paintings attempt to capture moments in time shaped by personal experience.”

Strongly influenced by Eastern aesthetics\, Fran’s creative paintings synthesize both Eastern and Western formats in multi-media works. For this artist\, walking\, hiking\, and motorless boating are meditative and energizing at the same time. To begin looking out or forward is the way Fran Sutherland psychologically and physically approaches the day and life. The Meditative Series depict the top piece that shows an Asian-styled\, vertical composition\, and the second bottom piece that recognizes what is at one’s feet and depicts the subject in a Western\, rectangular format. The two paintings are then presented and suspended as one work of art. This new series of paintings explores and attempts to share the act of looking forward and where one is at the moment\, or what is below as well as ahead. \n\n\n\nMany of her works\, including The Bridge Series\, integrate geologic coloration and the play of light and water with local and international sites and architectural structures. Sutherland’s semi-autobiographical paintings continue to be inspired by New York’s Hudson Valley and Arizona’s Santa Rita Mountains.  \n\n\n\nVisit the artist’s website

DESCRIPTION:HAZMAT\n\n\n\nStephen Olivier\n\n\n\n\nShowing in the Spotlight Gallery \n\n\n\n\n\nOpening Reception May 2nd @ 3pm\n\n\n\nExhibition May 2 – 31\, 2026\n\n\n\nASK Gallery Hours: Fri – Sun\, Noon – 5pm \n\n\n\n\n\nStephen Olivier’s current body of work includes paintings and sculptural work\, that emerge from the collision of biography and belief – a reckoning with the self\, built from Catholic guilt\, queer identity\, and a lifelong quest to resolve the unfinished career of his father. \n\n\n\nAbout the artist \n\n\n\nStephen Olivier is an award winning artist whose work has been exhibited widely in galleries\, museums\, and artist-run spaces across the United States and internationally. Olivier was awarded a 2025 residency at NES in Skagaströnd\, Iceland. His work has appeared in numerous group exhibitions\, including Let the Fur and Feathers Fly at Epperson Gallery in California\, the Texas National Competition at the Cole Art Center in Texas\, Big Bold Pride at the Art Society of Kingston\, and Truth Unveiled at Art League Rhode Island. Additional exhibitions include the Woodstock Artists Association & Museum\, Delaware Valley Arts Alliance\, KIPNZ in Walton\, NY\, and venues throughout New York\, Atlanta\, Miami\, and Berlin. Olivier’s solo exhibitions include Over the Garden Wall at Subdivision Art in Long Island City\, and Beforemath at the Octopus Building in Miami. \n\n\n\nOlivier’s sculptural work has also appeared in film\, including creating thirty resin sculptures for Shelton Walsmith’s short film The Importance of Being Amber. Earlier in his career\, he served as Chief Preparator at White Box and The Annex in New York\, where he installed exhibitions for artists including Carolee Schneemann\, Brian Maguire\, Javier Téllez\, Marianne Vitale\, Joel Sternfeld\, William Anastasi\, Conrad Atkinson\, and Jeff Chiplis.
